Six great Bangladesh wins
Bangladesh won the second one-day international by five runs here on Saturday to record a first victory over England in any format.
But it was not the first time Bangladesh had upset the formbook and below are some of the Tigers' greatest one-day triumphs.
1999 World Cup: At Northampton, England: Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 62 runs
Brief scores: Bangladesh 223-9 (Saqlain Mushtaq 5-35) v Pakistan 161 (Khaled Mahmud 3-31)
This victory helped catapult Bangladesh to Test status and came during a tournament debut. Medium-pacer Mahmud sparked a collapse as Pakistan, already through to the second round, slumped to 43 for five. But soon afterwards match-fixing allegations surfaced.
2004: At Dhaka: Bangladesh beat India by 15 runs
Brief scores: Bangladesh 229-9 (Aftab Ahmed 67) v India 214 (S Sriram 57)
The Tigers's first home win also saw them beat India for the first time as they marked their 100th ODI in style. Bangladesh were in trouble at 88 for five but recovered and seam bowler Mashrafe Mortaza starred by dismissing dangerman Virender Sehwag in the first over of India's reply.
2005: At Cardiff: Bangladesh beat Australia by 5 wkts
Brief scores: Australia 249-5 (D Martyn 77; Tapash Baisya 3-69) v Bangladesh 250-5 (Mohammad Ashraful 100)
One of the all-time great upset wins saw the Tigers tame the world champions just after Bangladesh were heavily beaten by England.
Nevertheless, they held Australia to under 250, with fast-medium bowler Tapash Baisya taking three wickets, including the prize scalp of Ricky Ponting for one. Mohammad Ashraful then made a brilliant century.
They still needed seven off the last over but Aftab Ahmed hit Jason Gillespie for six to level the scores and a scrambled single completed an astounding win.
2007 World Cup: At Port-of-Spain: Bangladesh beat India by 5 wkts
Brief scores: India 191 (S Ganguly 66; Mashrafe Mortaza 4-38, Mohammad Rafiuque 3-35, Abdur Razzak 3-38) v Bangladesh 192-5 (Mushfiqur Rahim 56 no, Shakib Al Hasan 53, Tamin Iqbal 51)
Bangladesh beat one of the tournament favourites in convincing fashion. Mortaza took four wickets but it was an arm-ball from spinner Abur Razzak that proved too much for Sachin Tendulkar. Tamim made a near run-a-ball 51 while Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan also weighed in with fifties.
2007 World Cup: At Guyana: Bangladesh beat South Africa by 67 runs
Brief scores: Bangladesh 251-8 (Mohammad Ashraful 87; A Nel 5-45 ) v South Africa 184 (H Gibbs 56 no; Abdur Razzak 3-25)
Ashraful's 87-ball innings, the best by a Bangladeshi at a World Cup, laid the platform for a thumping as a trio of Tigers' left-arm spinners made the most of a helpful pitch. Herschelle Gibbs made an unbeaten fifty but could not halt a collapse as South Africa slumped from 63 for one to 87 for six
2010: At Bristol: Bangladesh beat England by 5 runs
Brief scores: Bangladesh 236-7 (Imrul Kayes 76; A Shahzad 3-41) v England 231 (J Trott 94)
Bangladesh ended a run of 24 straight losses with a thrilling first win over England. Imrul Kayes's patient innings still left the Tigers with a seemingly below par total. However, ight bowling saw England collapse to 115 for five. Jonathan Trott almost snatched victory but, when he was last man out, Bangladesh won with three balls to spare.
