Nol Card can now be used for parking

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded the range of services offered by the Automated Fare Collection Card, branded as Nol Card, to include the use of parking service. Nol Card holders can now use their cards to pay for the parking fees in all paid parking zones across Dubai.

A statement to this effect was made by Mohammed Al Mudharreb, Director of Automated Fare Collection Card Department at RTA Corporate Technical Support Services Sector.

"The RTA has added parking service to Nol Cards uses in the context of its endeavours to enhance the integration of transit mode systems in the emirate and realise its vision of providing safe and smooth transport for all. This new service addition opens up new horizons for possible uses of Nol Card as RTA is seeking to use it in services that go beyond transit services in future," said Al Mudharreb.

Adel Mohammed Al Marzooki, Director of Parking Department at the RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, said: "The department has upgraded the technical specifications and reconfigured its Central Control System to track the processes of using the Nol Card in the parking machines."

"The use of Nol Card to pay for the parking fees is receiving growing public attention in Dubai as it is compatible and easy-to-use," said Al Marzooki.
