Bollywood's Kat fight: When bikinis, 'lungis' speak, towel goes mum

Bollywood’s latest 'Kat' fight is not a mere battle of words. Rather a battle of the garb.

Lungis and bikinis are making statements that were once defined by skills and talent. Literally.

Remarks are now concealed within comments, polished into statements.

No conundrums here please. It’s simple and straight logic. Both of them are drumming themselves up to con the other to peep from yet another’s shoulder.

How else can one explain Katrina Kaif’s two-piece outing in some far away continent more than a month ago creating waves on Indian shores even today.

The paparazzi did their job and the media theirs. Only the starlets haven’t yet figured whose job they want to usurp.

Okay, so she ran around in a two-piece. That’s her free will. Then she covered herself up in an open letter dripping modesty. That’s again her choice.

Everybody deserves the right not to be stalked when living their everyday lives.

Deepika Padukone’s words of celebrity wisdom also have the same undertone, only that it is buried in its own irony.

How could she shoot her mouth off when advising another to exercise caution.

Katrina’s reaction screams she’s not had enough, anyway.

Has Deepika’s lungi act gotten the better of her? The fact is the lungi has weaved its magic burying everything beyond immediate resurrection.

Ms Padukone is going great guns, has settled into another mega venture with King Khan and she is, indeed, the talk of the film-obsessed nation, leaving every single star, who claims to be an actress, dribbling.

So can we blame Katrina for losing her cool? She needs to stay afloat until she hits off at least a sarong act or better still until her beau brings his mom’s towel to pat her dry.

The latter would offer her the last laugh, indeed. Probably the reason why Kat is edgy, too. Desperation and helplessness in having to hold the garb in place without support!
