How SRK made money from 'Ra.One'!

Sources close to Shah Rukh Khan have now revealed to us that he would be getting a huge grant back of Rs 18-20 crore from the UK government for having co produced his film 'Ra.One' along with a company in UK called Winford Productions. With Khan making more money perhaps because of the Bakri Eid celebrations, 'Ra.One' seems to have sort of recovered the money for the producer for sure.

Here is how the break up goes. Rs 20 crores from grants, Rs 52 crores from Endorsements, Rs 32.5 crores from Overseas Rs 37 crores from Satellite and Rs 96 crores from theatrical collections. The film has cost Shah Rukh Khan a cool Rs 137 crores including the Print and Advertising budgets apart from the production cost.

This means that Shah Rukh Khan has made his money. But that does not mean that everyone connected to the film is happy. Many of his distributors have lost money because they had paid up a minimum guarantee to Shah Rukh Khan hoping that they would recover their money in the long run. And that has not been done.

Result SRK is happy, but the distributors are not. SRK is now moving on to the promotion of his next film 'Don 2' after a week. The distributors may not be able to catch 'Don', but they will surely catch SRK and ask him a way out to recoup their losses.
