Bieber fever grips UAE fans on his 18th birthday

If there was ever any doubt that Bieber fever had not travelled its way to our shores would firmly admit defeat with the YouTube tween sensation trending on three different hashtags on microblogging site Twitter, in the UAE.

‘Justin is OFFICIALLY 18’, ‘He’s 18’and ‘National Bieber Day’ has seen the good, the bad and the ugliness of Justin Bieber’s meteoric rise to fame since his discovery by Scooter Braun back in 2008.

Since then, the Canadian pop and RnB singer has gone on to become the first ever artist to boast seven tracks to hit the Billboard Hot 100 from his debut album.

“I love him. I want to marry him and have his babies,” was a tweet out to 'Emirates24|7' by 15-year-old fan, Michelle Zuckerman. “I am his biggest fan ever.”

Such a sentiment has been seen echo across the globe as people waking up in different timezones have sent out messages of love to this young talent.

Writing to us from Australia, Hina Zhaveri, 16, said: “He speaks to us, you know, through his music. Plus, he is so cute simply adds to his overall appeal.”

Bieber's first full-length studio album, “My World 2.0”, was released in March 2010, debuting at number one or within the top 10 across the globe and was certified platinum in the US.

But it was the release of the track “Baby” that cemented Bieber’s spot at the top of all tween singing sensations that have emerged onto the scene of late, include Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift. If you are eager to turn this into a ‘National Bieber Day’ as the fans on Twitter are saying, then simply tune into his top tracklist, including “Baby”, “Somebody to Love”, “One Time”, “One Less Lonely Girl” and more.
