Bollywood premiere of 'Crook' in Dubai
Actors Emraan Hashmi and Neha Sharma are winging their way to the shiny emirate this afternoon for a premiere of their new film, “Crook: It’s Good to be Bad”, which goes on general release tomorrow.
Organisers told Emirates247.com the premiere, which was confirmed late in the day, is timed for 8pm at Grand Cineplex, with an after party scheduled for midnight at the It’s Mirchi nightclub in the Ramee Royal Hotel.
Also attending are director Mohit Suri, Arjan Bajwa and Mukesh Bhatt. Hashmi is expected to perform at the show, with a set that includes the rocking “Challa”.
"I’m looking forward to visiting Dubai for premiere of ‘Crook’. Dubai has always given a warm reception to me whenever I have been there. We have also shot a couple of films there and it's a beautiful place,” Hashmi told Indian media ahead of the show.
“But going for premiere of my film will be a different and exciting experience. My films in Dubai have always got a huge response and we are hoping Crook will get a great response here too."
Suri has said the film was inspired by the recent series of racially motivated attacks on Indians in Australia.
The film has earned an 18+ rating in India for a topless scene by actress Shella Allen, but has been advertised under a 15+ rating in the UAE.
