Colin Farrell chats with fans in Dubai today
Irish bad boy actor Colin Farrell will take questions from fans in Dubai on Sunday as the emirate closes out its annual film festival.
The star of “The Way Back” will participate in an hour-long public question-and-answer session beginning at 4pm at the First Group Theatre at the Madinat Jumeirah Complex, organisers said.
Tickets for the newly announced event, priced at Dh25, are on sale now.
Farrell, who has starred in films such as “In Bruges”, “Phone Booth” and “Minority Report”, last week walked the red carpet at the festival, along with fellow cast members Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Saoirse Ronan and Mark Strong.
“The Way Back”, the first film in seven years from master director Peter Weir, tells the story of a multicultural group of prisoners who escape from a Stalinist gulag during World War II but then have to survive walking more than 5,000 miles of treacherous trails across five countries to gain their freedom.
The seventh edition of the Dubai International Film Festival 2010 closes with screenings of its Muhr award-winning films on Monday.
