No Madhuri Dixit and Aamir Khan in 'Dil' remake

After rocking the nation with superb storyline and ultra-melodious music, the sequel to one of much-celebrated films of Indian cinema Indra Kumar’s ‘Dil’ is all set to go on floors.

Surprisingly, lead pair in the prequel Aamir Khan- Madhuri Dixit will not continue in the second installment.

Director Indra Kumar who had made ‘Dil’ with Madhuri and Aamir in 1990 is now gearing up for the remake of the same but wants to cast newcomers.

The idea of doing a remake occurred when Indra Kumar was looking for a good script and was not finding one that excited him. Someone close to the filmmaker suggested that he should try making the remake of ‘Dil’.

After giving some serious thought, Indra Kumar is now contemplating remaking the film in his own sweet way. His daughter Shweta Kumar perhaps may play the female lead in the movie.

It will be interesting to see who will match up to the charisma of Aamir-Madhuri to keep ‘Dil’ franchise a successful venture.

Nevertheless, the sizzling chemistry between Aamir-Madhuri that had fluttered millions of hearts then will be sorely missed.

Indra Kumar has also made more blockbusters like ‘Beta’, ‘Raja’ and ‘Ishq’ along with his partner Ashok Thakeria and later went on to make films like ‘Dhamaal’, ‘Masti’, ‘Double Dhamaal’ and is now making films like ‘Supernaani’ and ‘Grand Masti’ as well.
