Rajini's 'Kochadaiiyaan' sets record even before release

And the Thalaivaa, as he is better known by his fans, is back with the first teaser of his Tamil period drama 'Kochadaiiyaan'.
The 1.14-minute video, released on September 9, has been watched by more than 1.3 million people on the YouTube within just 30 hours of its release.
The teaser is creating fan frenzy online.
'Kochadaiiyaan' is a Tamil period film that has Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sarathkumar, Rukmini Vijaykumar, and Nassar, among others.
Made on a budget of over Rs100 crore, 'Kochadaiiyaan' is India's first motion capture technology film being made on lines of Hollywood films like 'Avatar' and 'Tin Tin'.
The teaser gives a sneak peek into the film's premise without revealing anything about the plot. However, it's Rajinikanth's double avatar that demands your attention.
The soundtrack and background score of the film has been composed by AR Rahman and the music will be released in October 2013.
It will be dubbed and simultaneously released in Telugu as Vikrama Simha, Malayalam and English, and will also be released in Hindi and Japanese.
