So, what went into the making of 'Gerua'? SRK and Kajol explain...

When Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol released Dilwale's first song titled 'Gerua', the critics and viewers were bowled over by the song's stunning cinematography.

Little did the masses realise that the cast and crew had to brave extreme conditions in order to get such superlative results.

'Dilwale' co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol explain in the newly released 'making of' video of the stunning 'Gerua' song, exactly what kind of hard labour was required to shoot in the freezing conditions in Iceland over a stretch of 10 days - in summer.

The video clip shows Kajol wearing whisper-thin chiffon saris billowing in the wind with her teeth rattling due to intense wind and extreme cold.

SRK and Kajol even got drenched while shooting a sequence behind, yes behind a waterfall.

The duo and the team trekked up a mountain - Kajol did that clad in a sari and sneakers - to pose for a short sequence in the song.

King Khan got the scare of his life when he almost slipped into an abyss but kajol pulled him up just in time.

The 10-day long shoot can easily be termed as a summer adventure in Iceland for the 'Dilwale' cast and crew.

The 'Gerua' song has been choreographed by Farah Khan (who features quite extensively in the video) and was the first of the film's songs to be released.

Dilwale features Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan & Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty & produced by Gauri Khan

Dilwale is set to release on December 18, 2015.

Check out what went into the making of the spectacular song 'Gerua' featuring Kajol & Shah Rukh Khan.
