Video: Hip-shaking Oxford boys grab Shakira's attention
Colombian pop star Shakira's hit number “Hips Don’t Lie” gets an Oxford makeover.
Not in the labs of chemistry or physics but by a group of a cappella (no use of musical instruments) boys from the most prestigious universities in the world.
Riding on viral waves a group of students from the Oxford University called 'Out Of The Blue' have managed to impress Shakira through their latest video that was made to raise money for a children hospital.
Dressed in dapper suits the all-male group can be seen performing a medley version of Shakira's hit numbers - 'Hips don't lie', 'Waka Waka' and 'Whenever Wherever' - in this viral video that has crossed three million clicks in just over a week.
The group of undergraduate students must be pretty chuffed right now as they've managed to grab Sakira's attention.
Shakira recently tweeted her endorsement of the students’ rendition.
Out of the Blue, Oxford’s all-male a cappella group, has produced a cover of Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” for charity. Proceeds from purchases of the single will be donated to the Helen & Douglas House Hospice for Children and Young Adults.
