A deaf California driver has been found guilty of recklessness for driving through a crowd at the annual Zombie Walk during San Diego's Comic-Con convention last year, injuring one woman.
A San Diego jury found 47-year-old Matthew Pocci Jr. guilty Wednesday of reckless driving. He faces up to three years in prison at his sentencing on Dec 11.
On July 26 last year, Pocci had stopped his car to let people participating in the Zombie Walk proceed. After several minutes, he honked his horn and began inching forward. He hit several people after he sped up.
Pocci's attorney argues her client became frightened for himself and his family when people dressed as zombies surrounded his car.
Prosecutors argued Pocci was aggressive and acted out in anger.
