Al Qasimi Hospital entrance temporarily shut

The main entrance to Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah has been shut temporarily to facilitate maintenance work inside the premises.
 
Part of the roof over the reception area and children's ward was damaged resulting in water leak, reported 'Al Ittihad' newspaper.

Dr Saqr Al Muala, Deputy Director of the hospital, said the main entrance was shut to ensure safety of patients and visitors as well as to enable quick completion of the work.

The floor of the children's ward has been wet for the past couple of days due to water leak, he said. "The hospital administration informed the Ministry of Health on the incident and the follow-up action taken to fix the problem," said Al Muala.  

Maintenance work worth Dh2,000,000 has been undertaken at Al Qasimi Hospital in the recent past, he added.
