Business jet veers of Dubai Airport runway

A business jet - Challenger 850 - veered off the runway at Dubai INternational Airport on Monday evening. The crew onboard were safe. However, the aircraft suffered minor damages and caused damage to the runway lights, too, reported 'Khaleej Times'.

According to Gama Aviation, which provides international business aircraft management and charter services, "flight number GSH589 had a runway excursion during initial takeoff roll at a relatively low speed at 7.36pm."

The jet was heading toSaudi Arabia with three people onboard. The crew safely aborted the takeoff and the aircraft vacated the runway.

Gama is co-operating with Dubai Airports, Dubai Department of Civil

Aviation and GCAA in the investigations.
