‘Driving distracters’ poster design contest
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out in a new traffic contest targeting more than 5,000 university students, inviting them to come up with creative designs for posters raising awareness of "Driving Distracters".
Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, said: "The contest aims at motivating students to create modern artistic designs for a poster sending warnings of risks of distractions while driving, such as using the mobile phone."
RTA has joined hands with Emirates Driving Institute, the social networking website (tedry.com) and 'Jawboon' for this contest and reward the best three participants with suitable cash prizes and gifts.
The Traffic and Roads Agency launched this contest at the beginning of October this year at the Men's Higher College of Technology in Dubai, and the event will roll on to cover 10 colleges and varsities, targeting more than 5,000 male and female students by sending them personal invitations to participate in the contest.
The contest will run until the end of December this year and the top three winners will be announced in the January 2013.
