Emirates Red Crescent stages festival
The Emirates Red Crescent has launched the 'Gratitude' festival in Aden to express appreciation for the sacrifices by Yemeni martyrs and help the families who lost their breadwinners.
In the festival which will continue till December 4, clothes and basic supplies were distributed to the families of martyrs in the presence of Major General Jafar Mohammed Saad, Governor of Aden, and a number of officials.
Each family received 12 pieces of clothing purchased from popular shops in Aden.
The Emirates Red Crescent says the event is part of the UAE's humanitarian response to the crisis in Yemen and seeks to provide special care for the underprivileged segments in the country.
The governor of Aden praised the UAE agency for its initiative and said it carefully plans its humanitarian response to back the victims of war in these difficult circumstances.
