Guard, maid slapped with sex charges

A security guard, MAS, 25, and a housemaid, AAM, 25, were charged by the Dubai Public Prosecution on Wednesday of having consensual sex at the apartment where the maid worked.

The maid took advantage of her employer's absence, according to a report in 'Gulf Today' newspaper.

The employer's wife said when she returned from a hospital in Dubai and knocked at the door, the maid did not open it. A little later she saw the security guard run out of the apratment while trying to put on his clothes.

The police arrested the guard thereafter, and he confessed that he had gone to the apartment but at the request of the maid. And that they had a relationship for the past five months.

He also admitted to sleeping with AAM on July 18.

The Public Prosecution has charged the guard with illegally entering the house without permission, and the maid for violating the sanctity of the house.

The case has been referred to the Court of Misdemeanours.
