New uniforms for next academic year in UAE
The UAE’s Ministry of Education has implemented new school uniforms for the next academic year.
The new uniforms will be implemented across all government schools for children studying in kindergarten, primary and secondary sections, the ministry confirmed with Emirates 24|7.
The new kits will be made available from August across 10 centres in the UAE, with the ministry further adding on its official social media accounts, adding that these units will provide parents with year round sales.
New kits will be made available for both male and female students, with specialised sports kits also being introduced.
In a statement to Al Bayan news, the ministry added the new uniforms will also carry the UAE national symbol, which would promote the values of equality and justice in the hearts of students, along with developing of a sense of national responsibility and commitment.
The MoE has also reiterated that traditional wear for boys and girls in the secondary school, which includes a dishdasha for the former and modest head scarf and long skirt for the latter, has been implemented to be respectful to the culture of the UAE.
The mandatory kits will also include accessories such as socks and shoes for each section for regular and sportswear.
A unified pricing structure has also been released alongside, which the ministry said would alleviate the financial burden on parents, along with saving time when purchasing school uniforms.
The ministry has further stated more details on the new uniforms will be made available via its social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
