One dead in Abu Dhabi building fire

One person, of an Asian nationality, died in a fire that broke out in an apartment on the seventh floor of a nine-storied building on Airport Road, Abu Dhabi.

Colonel Gumaa Al Dahmani Director of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi, said civil defence teams moved swiftly to bring the fire under control and prevent its spread.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
