Paid parking in Dubai Silicon Oasis: No season cards valid
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) seasonal pre-paid parking cards will not be valid within Dubai Silicon Oasis following the introduction of paid parking in the area.
Parking metres will soon be installed across the locality located on the Al Ain road near Dubai Academic City. The signboards indicating the conversion of free parking to paid went up last week across the area.

DSO joins the growing list of areas such as Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, Tecom, Deira Fish Market and the Gold Souq Deira where seasonal cards are not valid.
Earlier this year, the RTA reassigned parking zones from two (A and B) to seven (A to G).
While seasonal or prepaid cards work in A, B, C and D zones, motorists will have to pay using the machine, through text messages or via the mobile app in zones E, F and G.
The DSO community spans 7.2 million square metres and has been divided into industrial, commercial, education, living and residences, and public facilities.
DSO’s residential areas include about 1,500 villas and several dozen apartment buildings.
