Plane makes emergency landing in Abu Dhabi
A Saudia passenger aircraft flying to Malaysia made an emergency landing at Abu Dhabi airport on Saturday after developing a fault in one of its wing, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Sunday.
The plane had taken off from the western Red Sea port of Jeddah and was heading for Kuala Lumpur late Saturday when passengers smelt fire.
“The passengers were told to stay in their sears and not use the water closets…the plane then made emergency landing at Abu Dhabi airport, where the passengers stayed for nearly 12 hours before they were taken to a hotel,” Sabq daily said without making clear if the plane resumed flight later.
