Rs46,500 fake notes found in trash: Accused
A Pakistani is accused of possessing fake Indian rupee notes worth 46,500, which he claims he found in a bag near a garbage bin.
On March 13, GYM, 40, handed over the fake notes to Mohammed Aqeel asking him to exchange them with UAE dirhams.
Aqeel gave the notes to Hilal, his sponsor’s son who was travelling to India. However, Hilal first checked the notes and discovered they were forged and informed the police.
Saeed Mohsen, 34, a policeman testified that Aqeel, 33, an Indian driver, led him to the accused GYM, who is jobless.
The Dubai Criminal Court adjourned the case for verdict until August 31.
