Salesman with 'urgent' needs cons employer

A Lebanese salesman who was short of cash just decided to con his employer by not depositing proceeds of sales of computer-related equipment worth Dh700,000.

The man, who has since been arrested for swindling, told the prosecution that he decided to keep Dh100,000 to meet his “urgent need for money.”

But the audit report from his employer showed DMI, 36, a deficit of Dh327,501 and unaccounted  equipment valued at Dh444,140.
The man confessed of dodging the accounts department by not issuing bills to customers and keeping the money to himself.
