Smoke billows out from fire near Dubai's DIFC

Fire is being reported from a residential area close to the DIFC  at the Business Bay in Dubai.

Motorists driving on Sheikh Zayed Road were able to see the smoke emanating out of the area.

Several people have posted pictures of the smoke on social networking sites like Twitter.

Dubai Civil Defence officials confirmed the incident but have so far refused to give out any additional details.
