His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discusses with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar (Wam)

Mohamed, Tamim discuss bilateral relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, discussed today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in the best interests of the two fraternal countries and peoples.

This came when Sheikh Mohamed received Sheikh Tamim, who is paying a fraternal visit to the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Sheikh Tamin in his second country, wishing more progress to the relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, they reviewed fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to boost them in the best interest of the two countries.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Emir of Qatar confirmed the keenness of the two countries to co-operate with the GCC states and support the joint GCC action to achieve more welfare, progress and prosperity for its peoples as well as address challenges facing the region based on common history, objectives and destiny.

They tackled overall Arab, regional and international developments and also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Mohamed hosted a lunch banquet at Mushrif Palace in honour of Sheikh Tamim and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting and the banquet were attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the State Security Department; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary at the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, and Saleh Mohamed bin Nasra Al Amri, UAE ambassador to Qatar.

While on the Qatari side Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatari Foreign Minister of International Cooperation Affairs; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Emiri Diwan; Chief of State Security, Ghanim bin Khalifa Al Kubaisi, and a number of other officials from the Qatari delegation, including Hadi bin Nasser Mansour al-Hajri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the UAE, attended the event.

Emir of Qatar ends UAE visit

The Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, left today after a fraternal visit to the UAE.

He was seen off at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Also present at the airport were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the State Security Department; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy secretary general of the National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Saleh Mohammed bin Nasra Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Qatar, and Hadi bin Nasser Mansour al Hajeri, Qatari Ambassador to the UAE.

The delegation accompanying the Emir of Qatar included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al Thani, Foreign Minister; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief of the Emiri Court; Ghanim bin Khalifa Al Kubaisi, Chief of the State Security Department, and Mohammed bin Nasser Al Hajeri, Director of Studies and Research at the Emiri Court.
