Mohammed discusses GCC's march with Al Attiyah

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Abdul Rahman Al Attiyah, the outgoing Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of the Arab Gulf States, (GCC) who paid a farewell visit to mark the end of his tenure in the Council.

Sheikh Mohammed and Al Attiyah discussed a number of regional and international political and economic issues as well as ways to push the march of GCC towards integration among peoples of the member states.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the efforts of Al Atiyyah's during his tenure and noted their positive effect on the march of GCC. He also expressed his best wishes for Al Attiyah.

For his part, Al Attiyah thanked the UAE's leadership, government and people for supporting him during his tenure. He also praised the prudent guidance he received from the UAE's leadership which he said aimed at realising the higher national interests of the Gulf states and peoples.

Present at the meeting at the Dubai Ruler's Court were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Majid bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and other senior officials.
