Al Jazeera presenter calls Trump 'clown'

A female presenter on the Qatari Al Jazeera satellite news TV channel became the latest critic of US presidential candidate Donald Trump over his anti-Islam comments, branding him a clown.

Mariam Balalyea, an Algerian, said on her Twitter page that Trump, who has called for banning Muslims from entering the US, is using racism to win the election.

“With all his brain cells, Donald Trump has become a clown who is using racism to become US president.

"These are the tools of the desperate,” she said.

Trump’s remarks have caused furore in the Arab region and many other countries.
