Camel’s broken jaw repaired after fight

Saudi vets spent several hours to repair the jaw of an expensive racing camel after it was broken during a fight with another camel.

The vets at a specialised medical centre in the Northwestern town of Hail performed  ‘successful’ surgery on the camel, which was brought in by its owner following a violent fight with another camel, Sada newspaper said.

“The operation lasted several hours and was successful…the camel’s jaw will heal in a few weeks,” the paper said, quoting a vet.
