Fox killers jailed 70 days, to get 118 lashes

A Saudi court sentenced a number of local men seen in a film burning a fox to death to 70 days in prison and ordered them to be lashed 118 times each.

Police seized the men after they published a YouTube film showing they set a live fox in a cage on fire until it died, triggering public anger and calls for punishing them.

The men, who did not reveal the location where the film was shot, were tracked down by the police a few days after the film was published in newspapers and on social networks.
