Makkah’s clock tower power disrupted by lightning
Lightning disrupted the world’s tallest clock tower in the Saudi town of Makkah before power was restored a few hours later, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
The 38-metre high tower that overlooks Islam’s holiest shrine was plunged into darkness after a blackout caused by lightning that hit the city for several hours on Thursday, the Arabic language daily Sabq said.
