Old man ends life due to slow hospital service

An old Saudi man suffering from cancer committed a suicide and left a note saying he had decided to end his life because of slow hospital service.

Police said they found the man lying in pool of blood at his house in the northwestern town of Jouf and rushed him to hospital but he died later.

“We found a note in his pocket saying he had decided to commit a suicide by shooting himself because of the slow response by health authorities to admit him to a specialized hospital for treatment,” police spokesman Colonel Turki bin Abdul Rahman said.
