Saudi man given driving licence without photo
A Saudi man who applied for a renewal of his driving licence was surprised when he received the document without his picture on it.
When he went back to the traffic police in the southern Saudi town of Baha and told them about their mistake, his surprise turned into a shock after they asked him to pay fees for a replacement.
“I had applied for a renewal and gave them all needed documents, including my photograph…but it was not stuck on the licence when I received it,” Mohammed Al Gamdi said, quoted by Sabq Arabic language daily.
“I went back to them again and spent several days shuttling between sections…in the end, they asked me to pay SR100 for a replacement…they are just trying to correct their own mistake at the expense of a citizen.”
