Bright girl, born without arms, wants to be graphic designer

Sri Lankan girl Dulanjali Ariyatilleka who was born with no arms excelled in her 10th grade exams obtaining 6 As.

Dulanjali who studies at a school in Katukurunda has secured 6 As, 2 Bs and 1 C. She wrote the exams using her feet, holding the pen between her toes.

Dulanjali lives in Maithree Children's Home in Katukurunda.

Though without arms, she is good at computer graphic designing and playing the organ. Dulanjali, who thinks of following her A/Ls in commerce subjects, dreams of becoming a graphic designer some day.

''If you make an effort for anything, it can be accomplished. What is important is determination in the mind. I'll someday achieve all my future targets in the same way'', says Dulanjali.

The studious girl is also good at singing and dancing. When a film producer spotted her abilities, he made her act in his movie “Samanala Thatu” when she was only seven years old.
