Residents shocked to see corpse on road

Colombo: A bizarre event left residents of Kandy in Sri Lanka dumbstruck.

They were shocked to see a 'abandoned' corpse lying in the middle of the road!

According to a report in 'Daily Mirror', the door of the hearse opened accidentally and the coffin (with a corpse inside) slipped onto the main roadat noon on Thursday.

The driver, unaware of what had happened, continued his drive.

Meanwhile, a crowd gathered around the corpse.

Police later transferred the body in another vehicle to the funeral site.

The body has not been identified.
