Teddy-bear drug bust on Dubai rooftop
Abu Dhabi Police has arrested an unemployed youth in his twenties after finding a large quantity of narcotic drugs concealed in a stuffed teddy bear.
Colonel Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation in the Abu Dhabi Police, said 3kg of hashish, 4,300 medically-controlled pills, 1kg of heroin and needles containing liquid anesthetic.
“The drugs were found stuffed in a teddy bear and a water cooler on the roof of his home,” said Al Zaabi.
He also said police had been watching the youth’s movement for the past two months.
Col. Zaabi said the youth’s father is in prison since June 2012 in another emirate for possessing drugs for sale. He had a history of trading in drugs since 1991.
