Baby's screams foil thief’s bid to steal car

A car thief stalking a fresh victim in Saudi Arabia apparently thought it was his lucky day when he spotted a vehicle with its engine on and ready to be taken.

After peering sideways to make sure he is not watched, he quietly got into the car and drove away, unaware of the little boy sleeping on the back seat.

“As he drove away, the baby woke up and began screaming…the thief was caught off guard and banged into a wall,” Sabq newspaper said.

“He got out of the car and ran away…police later arrived and found that the baby was safe,” it added in a report from the northern town of Hafr Al Batin.
