Snake among guests at Saudi wedding

Guests at a wedding in Saudi Arabia panicked and stampeded out of the wedding hall after the entry of an undesirable intruder—a snake.

The bridegroom was receiving well wishers at the massive wedding hall in the northern town of Rafha when a pandemonium erupted among hundreds of guests.

The groom’s cousin who rushed to where the guests were stampeding saw a one-metre-long snake crawling fast into the hall.

“I brought a large stick and chased it…it ran away and hid under a nearby car…I forced it out and killed it by hitting it on the head many times,” the groom’s cousin, Hammad Al Shammari said, quoted by Sabq newspaper.
