'Dangerous plastic bottles'
Bryan police are warning the public to use caution around plastic bottles that could contain dangerous chemicals.
Police on Friday issued a statement about "dangerous plastic bottles" and suspicious activity after officers Thursday night received calls about possible gunfire.
Police who responded located small plastic bottles that had been exploded.
Further investigation revealed that the bottles, similar to 20-ounce beverage containers, had caustic chemicals.
No injuries were reported as police warned about so-called "makeshift bombs" that can be made with household items.
This incident - on the eve of Halloween weekend - comes on the heels of a possible gunman scare at the Texas A&M University campus just four miles south in College Station Thursday who turned out to have a fake weapon.
