Wilfried Zaha (SUPPLIED)

Is Zaha the man to replace Walcott at Arsenal?

Every now and then, someone will drop the name ‘Messi’, as an adjective.

The latest to wear that crown of thorns is Wilfried Zaha.

The good news is that the young Crystal Palace star has three clubs on his case.

And two of them could offer him immediate first-team action in the Premier League.

Liverpool is a choice, Manchester City is interested.

Liverpool’s slow start to the season, or is it dismal, anyway, may concern Zaha.

City’s winger on loan to Sunderland, Adam Johnson’s recent comments that young football stars are better served not coming to do time on City’s bench may be another factor in the Etihad move.

This leaves Arsenal. And who better to nurture a young talent with a Messi prefix than the Professor himself – Arsene Wenger.

There is also the Theo Walcott scenario – a winger who wants to play central striker, who has not signed a new contract and therefore, will be out in January.

That leaves the winger spot open. Wide open for a player like Zaha.

The 19-year old is rated at £12million and has set the stands alight at Crystal Palace with his wing play.

Zaha in, Walcott out for Arsenal could be another great business move for Wenger.

Ready for the Gunners
