Amin steers Gyan Steel to victory

Noor Amin turned in a fine all-round performance to help Gyan Steel beat EIDS CC by three wickets in a low-scoring match of the 38th Bukhatir League ‘A’ Division Tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, on Sunday night.

The talented all-rounder first grabbed three wickets for 11 runs and then hit an unbeaten 25 to earn the man of the match award.

EIDS CC, batting first, were shot out for 124 in the 25th over with Amin, Musaddar (three for 27) and Adeel (two for 13) doing most of the damage.

Only Jitesh Aranha offered some resistance to the spot on Gyan Steel, scoring 42 off 72 balls with two fours and three sixes.

EIDS CC, in reply, achieved the modest victory target in the 25th over with Shakoor scoring 36 off 22 balls with seven fours and one six.

Daril D’Souza claimed four for 18, but Gyan Steel held their nerve to romp home with plenty of overs to spare.
