Emirates Club unveils new brand identity

Emirates Culture & Sports Club (ECSC); Ras Al Khaimah has launched its new logo signifying its switch over to international status after its merger with the reputable Ras Al Khaimah Club.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah graced the launching ceremony at Al Hamra Hotel & Beach Resort Convention Hall on Monday.

The logo in the form of a simple, friendly and timeless shield contains seven stripes depicting the seven emirates, and a Falcon head chosen to represent speed, agility, energy, power and tradition.

The brand identity harnesses the power of three popular colours. The red, occupying nearly 80 per cent of the visual space, is one of the UAE’s national colours. It is used to convey the club’s prestige and passion. The white, also a national colour, balances the red and represents a fresh, new approach.

The gold, carefully used to accent the other two colours, symbolises royalty and lineage

The function was enlivened with an animation launch film unveiling the new logo. A spectacular backdrop of laser beams added colour to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering the President of ECSC, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qassimi said that the new logo signifies the company's vision for the future. “The aim is to establish an international football club with broad perspectives. This has become possible by the merger between the clubs which has an impressive presence among the emirates,” he said.

Mohamed Ghobash, the vice-president of ECSC added that the club further will have a professional way of operation so as to strengthen its international presence. “The logo comes as a symbol of this turning point in the company's profile,” he said.
