Fabregas planning farewell video to Arsenal fans
Cesc Fabregas is planning to release a recorded goodbye to Arsenal supporters as soon as his protracted move to Barcelona goes through, 'The People' reported.
Barcelona president Sandro Rossell has cut short his trip to the United States for his club’s pre-season tour and will return to Spain Sunday to continue negotiations in the hope the deal can be concluded early this week.
After raising their offer to £34 million, Barcelona hope Arsenal will finally accept their bid, and Rossell has told sources in Spain he is optimistic it will happen, despite a late move by AC Milan to hijack the deal.
Providing Arsenal sanction the deal, Fabregas will be on his way to the Nou Camp and is considering recording a video farewell to Gunners fans in which he will thank them for their support, the report said.
Fabregas has agreed a £3 million-a-year deal in principle with Barcelona, having accepted a drop in wage demands.
Meanwhile, sources in France claim Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has won his battle to keep Samir Nasri, according to this report.
Nasri’s representatives have spoken with Manchester United and Manchester City, but nothing has materialised.
