Liverpool angry for Arsenal attack on Suarez
Kenny Dalglish has urged the FA to take action against Arsene Wenger for labelling controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez a diver.
The Liverpool boss is incensed after his Arsenal counterpart launched a scathing attack on Suarez, accusing the player of diving to win a penalty during the Gunners' 2-1 win at Anfield last week.
Liverpool chief Dalglish insisted: "I'm sure the FA will look into it and take him to task.
"If you cannot comment on the England manager's position, then I'm sure he can't comment on From Back Page another player. Wenger never said that to me (Suarez dives), he said it was a fantastic performance and Arsenal were very fortunate to win."
Wenger had said of the Uruguayan: “Nobody touched him. Where they go overboard is that nobody touched him. I can understand if they push the ball too far but when no-one touches him...
“Then, when they roll down the sock, take the shin pad out like he has been kicked like mad. It’s a bit overboard. Everyone who has played football can understand they try to win the penalty, but when he goes completely, afterwards, to get a bit more - we don’t need that.”
Dalglish also squashed speculation that Suarez was on his way to Paris St Germain.
Suarez gave an interview to French TV saying he would love to play alongside his Uruguay international team-mate Diego Lugano, who is already at PSG.
“How often has Lugano played for Paris this year? He’s only had 10 games. Luis was speaking in a programme about Lugano, and that’s it. Maybe Luis is trying to get him a game," said Dalglish.
