West Ham player charged over gay slur on Twitter
The English Football Association has charged West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison with using a gay slur on Twitter.
The FA says Morrison has been charged with using ``abusive and/or insulting words including a reference to a person's sexual orientation.''
The tweet has since been deleted.
The 19-year-old Morrison, who joined from Manchester United last month after a series of disciplinary issues, has until Friday to respond to the charge.
