Autumn begins in the Northern Hemisphere

In the Northern Hemisphere, autumn officially begins on September 23, 2023, at 10:50 AM UAE time. This is the day of the autumnal equinox, when the sun is directly above the equator and begins to move southward.

In the UAE, the length of day and night will be equal for several days after the autumnal equinox. In the Arctic regions, however, the sun will set for the last time until spring.

Temperatures will begin to drop below 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius) at night and below 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) during the day starting from the autumnal equinox. The weather will gradually become more temperate, and humidity will remain high, leading to the formation of fog and dew in the morning.

Nighttime temperatures will drop below 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) from mid-October to mid-April. Daytime temperatures will drop below 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) from mid-November to mid-March.

The winter rainy season will peak from early November to late March.
