Dubai Attorney General Issues Decision to Prevent Circulation or Publication of Information or Images Related to the Death of a Child

The Attorney General of Dubai issued a decision on Thursday to prevent the circulation or publication of any information or news related to the death of a child in the seventh grade. The decision was issued out of respect for the circumstances and feelings of the deceased's family. The ban applies to all print, audio, visual media, and social media, whether by individuals or legal entities.

The decision also prohibits the expression of opinion or comment on the incident until the final disposition of the case. The decision comes after the incident was circulated with incorrect information on social media platforms.

The Attorney General confirmed that such matters raise concern and confusion in society and expose anyone who publishes or circulates them to legal accountability, in the interest of the public good.
