Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper opens

With the UAE’s domestic consumer electronics market expected to increase in value to $4.8 billion by end of 2015, the third edition of consumer electronics exhibition Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper (Ades) kicks off tomorrow (March 18), promising deals and bundled offers on a range of consumer products from leading brands.

Organisers Dome Exhibition said in a statement that there will be discounts on everything, from smartphones to cameras and other gadgets. The statement added that the exhibition will span over 10,000 square metres, and visitors to Ades 2015 will see products and services related to IT, consumer electronics, mobile technology, lifestyle and leisure, as well as gaming, home and office automation appliances, sports and medical equipment, security and control systems.

The event will also feature the first-ever Ades 2015 Robotics Zone, where free robotics training, competition and gaming will be on offer.

"We have closely worked with participating outlets and consumer brands to make sure that Ades 2015 visitor feels a real difference in the prices of gadgets that they purchase through the promotion shows," said Antoine Georges, Managing Director, Dome Exhibitions.

The 4-day exhibition will see participation of retailers such as Sharaf DG, Plug-Ins, Jacky Retail, Grand Stores, Techlink, Jurassic and others offering discounts up to 50 per cent on selected electronic items, the organiser said in a statement.

Visitors can also expect a series of events supported by major consumer brands such as Samsung, Nikon, Hisense, Huawei, Toshiba, HP, Quantum, Philips, and AOC, said Dome Exhibitions.
