A BlackBerry official told Emirates 24/7 that the company plans to release new models based on users’ buying pattern and not on an annual basis.
Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Q10 will roll out in select markets by the end of April and UAE could be one of the destinations.
The Q10 was announced along with its flagship Z10 fully touch smartphone on January 30. BlackBerry started selling the Z10 in the UAE earlier this month and there were significant supply shortages with stocks running out in many stores.
“We will soon start selling the Q10 - by the end of April - in select markets. What we want to have is for our users to have a really robust typing experience, be in the qwerty Q10 or the full touch Z10,” said Rory O’ Neill, VP Marketing EMEA at BlackBerry.
