Samsung has denied reports that it has launched its latest tablet the Galaxy Note 10.1 in the UAE.
The latest variant of the tablet, which also comes with a stylus, was announced earlier this year, but is yet to be formally launched.
However a source with knowledge of the launch said Dubai is one of the locations from select cities across the world where the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be launched.
The launch could be scheduled during the last week of August.
Several media reports had earlier said that company had started sales in Germany and the UAE.
Samsung had initially announced the Note 10.1 during the Mobile World Congress in February-March this year.
The product almost doubles the screen size of the existing 5.3” Galaxy Note and introduces multi-screen functionality and S Note a feature that enables users to combine notes or sketches together with web content, images and other digital media through the stylus.
Reports also indicate that Samsung is upgrading the specifications on the product, which will now run on own Exynos processor, a quad-core 1.4GHz chip and 2GB of RAM.
The most impressive feature of the product and what differentiates it from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the innovative S Pen which Samsung claims would be the most advanced pen input solution on the market.
The stylus is completely integrated into the device’s original applications and provides enhanced pressure sensitivity, superior accuracy and control when editing or writing, providing an analog pen writing experience on a digital device.
The stylus Samsung claims can be used in premium photo editing and drawing experiences with Adobe® Photoshop® Touch and Adobe Ideas.
