Microsoft releases Office 2016 for Mac users in UAE

Microsoft today announced the availability of the final version of office 2016 for Mac in UAE as part of its efforts to make the software available across all devices and platforms.

Office 2016 for Mac is now available in 139 countries and in 19 languages, with the Arabic version expected later this year, the software major announced. It noted that Office 365 subscribers in the UAW can get the newest version of Office for Mac immediately.

Microsoft said it has made major updates to each of the apps based on over 100,000 feedback pieces from the Mac Office preview that was launched in March. Office 2016 for Mac features significant improvements in performance and stability.

The new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote provide a familiar Office experience paired with the best of Mac, it said. The new Office integrates Mac capabilities like Full Screen view and Multi-Touch gestures.

“We have added features like improved Mail Merge in Word, Propose New Time in Outlook and support for External Data Connections in Excel,” added Ihsan Anabtawi, Regional Manager - Applications and Services, Microsoft Gulf.

“Users will now seamlessly work across devices and platforms with similar interfaces, while the cloud connection that comes with Office 2016 for Mac will help to enhance collaboration, leading to increased productivity,” he said.

Office for Mac is cloud-connected, allowing access to the documents from multiple devices. In addition, built-in document sharing tools allows inviting other users to work on a document together.

Microsoft also announced that new features for Office 365 customers will be released at least once per quarter.
